Work on Moya's parish church finally ended in 1957, after the various demolitions and reformations which the original chapel built in 1515 suffered. The TOMÁS MORALES House-Museum
Tomás Morales, doctor by profession but poet by vocation, and the town's most distinguished Son, is nowadays considered to be one of the greatest exponents of Spanish modernism. He died in 1921 at the young age of 36, leaving behind for his home town some brilliant works of poetry, as well as the legacy of his fame, all of which can be admired in all manner of luxurious detail in this House-Museum.

El bosque de Doramas and La Montañeta (DORAMAS CAVES)
Archaeological remains which are well worth visiting for their historical significance. The Doramas Caves appear in many Canarian legends. In one of them the story is told of how the caves were used as home and place of refuge by the aboriginal warrior Doramas, who for his courage and bravery was the outstanding figure in the wars against the Spanish conquerors.

FONTANALES After the town of Moya, the most important village in the borough is Fontanales. Just ten kilometres from Moya, and at a height of some 700 metres, it is undoubtedly one of the most enchanting places on the Island, not only because of the stunning scenery on view but also thanks to the peace and tranquility which envelop the area. An obligatory stopping point.

HEREDAD DE AGUAS DE MOYA : A beautiful building of basalt stone.
MONTAÑON DEL NEGRO : A vantage point which splits the north of the Island into two.

BIZCOCHOS DE MOYA: Local sponge cakes which it is unforgivable not to try
